Thanks so much! I've been working on pulling/holding my angle through the second wake, which allows me to move everything more outward and ultimately to arrive more slowly at the bouy. My skiing improved quite a lot since the video, especially after the 3-day clinic with Rob Hazelwood. Also, I did not buy the Radar but upgraded to the D3 Ion 2.

I'm 174cm, 83cm inseam. The size guide on Canyon's website is accurate. I have a Grizl in size S as well and both fit perfectly.

When walking the bike, it barely makes any noise. When coasting, it makes enough noise to not need a bell 😄 it becomes louder with time. I think it depends on the amount of grease in the hub.

Different times, different cars. I do love the classic dashboards with just a simple clock and gauges, but the wide touchscreen displays are really nice and add a lot of comfort to long rides.

Hi Thomas. Thanks for your comment. Yes, these are road tires indeed. Continental GP5000 S TR in 32mm (but as they are mounted on gravel rims, the true width is probably about 35mm).

@@LifeOfPJV so far so good. It’s a bit heavy and the chain dropped a few times. The area at the crank isn’t well protected. Other than that very happy. Did 1,7k kilometers since September. Transformation to tubeless was very easy with the tires and wheels provided. Didn’t have a flat since then.

The chain kinda blocked when shifting from big to small ring and then grinded into to the paint. It really is the area where there is no protection, because there is a welding I guess. Also the holes for bottle cages are to narrow, i.e bottles touch each other

I had some shifting problems at first, but I'm guessing it was just one of the derailleur's cables that wasn't tightened enough. Other than that, only fun times. It is heavier than my roadbike of course, but at 10kg it is pretty light considering it has wide tires. I'm thinking of taking it on a 1000km bikepacking trip in May (centre of Belgium to the French Alps).

@@LifeOfPJV I wanna ride Flanders divide soon as bikepacking and do more Gravel in NL. Another trip to Nice is also planned. I live near Valkenburg, but in Germany. I did a trip to Girona last year to Girona on my road bike, but I had to skip the Alpes. Considering the shifting I don’t know why, but I was when going uphill and maybe I didn’t pedal enough. When I pulled the crank back, it fixed itself. Apart from the blocking, I only had one chain drop at the front. I usually ride in Mergelland in NL or Belgium in that area

Hi! Thanks for your comment 🥰 The bike is still doing great. I'm in the middle of waterski competition season, so I don't have a lot of time to go out and ride unfortunately. The bike comes with quite some clear film, especially to protect from rubbing from (bike packing) bags.

It depends on what you're looking for. Not being paid to say this but the Grizl CF is a great bang-for-your-buck bike in my opinion.

Thanks! It is a great bike but comes standard with 45mil tires so not very fast on road surface 😄

Thank you Roberto! Indeed, the plastic comes standard on most bikes. Easily removed it by hand. You might need scissors. Standard size for the pedals, I have put on MTB pedals (Shimano PD-M540 MTB SPD) and I'm wearing MTB shoes on the gravel bike for the reasons explained in the video. Hope this helps.
